Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Kitchen Lead.
Reporting to the management team, the Kitchen Lead will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring smooth workflow, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and training and supervising kitchen staff. The successful candidate will have excellent culinary skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for creating culinary masterpieces.


  • Assist with managing all incoming and outgoing food by updating food inventory logs in

      inventory system

  • Assist with the preparation, serving, and cooking of all food, including food for special

      events, when assigned

  • Adhere and enforce kitchen staff uniform policy

  • Communicate and collaborate with management to plan well-balanced meals with minimal food waste

  • Ensure all incoming food is correctly stored in appropriate location (pantry, freezer, walk-in), and maintain continuous inventory of food and supplies

  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is operating properly and is used properly to ensure safetyin the kitchen

  • Ensure necessary food and material goods are available for daily menu items

  • Ensure quality and presentation of every meal served to customers

  • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen work area, dining room area, food preparation area,
    refrigerator, walk-in, freezer, and pantry

  • Oversee and supervise kitchen staff

  • Prepare food according to recipes and production guidelines while adhering to food

        safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures

  • Report shortages and any problems to management for appropriate action

  • Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment

  • Train and develop staff on prepping, cooking, proper use of kitchen equipment, sanitizing, and working in a professional kitchen environment


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality preferred

  • 3-5 years of food service industry experience required

  •  Ability to obtain and maintain ServSafe certification within 90 days

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with others

  •  Ability to work independently with little supervision

  • Comfortable setting priorities, managing tasks, meeting time schedules and delegating tasks as needed

  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Working knowledge of general kitchen operations, including personnel management, purchasing, sanitation and health codes, and security
